I just realised something; I haven’t talked about reading or books on my blog at all!
I’m telling you now; I looove reading and books.
It would be absolutely amazing to buy all the books I want to read but let’s be real; books can be quite expensive and I just don’t have THAT much money, I am a 15 year old girl after all.
So, lucky me, I’ve got a few big library’s in my town, and I can just go and have a look trough all the books whenever I feel like it.
I’ve always loved reading, when I was young I actually used to have a stiff neck all the time because I always fell asleep on top of my books. 😉
But when I was about 12 years old, I never read anymore, I think it was because I had a phone and was quite obsessed with it.
But then I discovered books again and I am SO GLAD I did, and here I am, dedicating a whole blogpost to them.
So I thought I would share the books I will be reading this summer with you, just because I love to hear other people’s favorites and we can recommend books to each other here!
I usually go for somewhat more fresh, summery books in summer (yaknowwhatImean??), but I’ve already read the first two books in the Miss Peregrine’s series (and seen the film of course!) and I loved them so when I came across this one in the library it was a no-brainer for me.
I’ll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson
As you may know, I love Zoella and I think it’s twice in a year when she uploads a book club with WHSmith.
If you don’t know what a book club is; here is a link where Zoë explains what it is: click here.
And because I know Zoë and I have quite the same taste in books, I just trust her and read whatever book she recommends! 😉
Me before you by Jojo Moyes
If you’ve seen this movie you’ll understand why I’m so excited to read this one!!
I think I’m deffo gonna let some tears flow with this one. 😉
Carry on by Rainbow Rowell
This also a book from Zoella’s book club, I was really interested in this one so I’m just going to try it out, the best thing of lending books is that you can stop reading if you don’t like them and just bring them back, it’s free to lend them anyways.
Also, I’ve been kind of getting into audiobooks and podcasts lately, if you know any great ones, let me know! (also let me know if you know any good books!)
I read a lot of Young Adult books, but I’m also always in for a good thriller or anything about mental health and stuff, I’d love to find out about some new good books!
Do you like reading??
Kisses, Joan xx
